Wales Deaf 17 - 28 Forces Support

Saturday 19 November 2016

Forces Support took the honours by 28 points to 17 in a very entertaining game today on the new artificial pitch at Pontypridd.

Despite occasional heavy rain, both sides were prepared to show enterprise in a game that delivered seven tries.

Wales Deaf welcomed a host of new players into the squad which bodes well for the development of the squad.

Wales winger Aron Humphries (Nelson RFC) crossed for a couple of well taken tries along with captain Gareth John (Tonna RFC). Treorchy outside half Celyn Ashton kicked three conversions.

Jay Ronan (Maesteg Quins RFC), Tom Bluck (Porthcawl RFC), Lewis Nolan (Porthcawl RFC) and Dan Howells (Bridgend Athletic RFC) scored tries for Forces Support while Laurence Howley (Maesteg RFC) converted all four.
